Justin Whiteside

South Carolina Representative

After listening to the John Boy and Billy Big Show in May of 2017, Justin decided to contact the charity to see if he could take a special child fishing. We soon knew we had a wonderful and hardworking man on board the charity in talking to him.

Justin is a South Carolina native that has enjoyed the outdoors his entire life. He is married to Linsey, and they have a three-year-old son, Tripp. No stranger to planning and hard work, Justin works in the family construction company and owns his own guide service called “Whiteside Whiskers Guide Service.” He is a licensed USCG captain, and his equipment is excellent.

Justin runs fishing trips in five local lakes year-round in South Carolina: Wateree, Wylie, Monticello, Marion, and Moultrie. He has the know-how needed to give USSA special anglers an excellent chance to land a striped bass, catfish, or white perch. He’s also a huge believer in helping conserve nature, so he takes great care to protect the local fishery by practicing catch and release!

Most importantly, Justin believes that our children are a precious resource and has never charged a kid to enjoy the sport he so dearly loves, namely fishing! So, getting a USSA fishing event going in his area was natural for a hardworking man like him, who truly treasures kids. A 2018 veteran group fishing trip is also in the making.

We are thrilled to have him on board and looking forward to many incredible years together, granting outdoor wishes for those in need!
