The United Special Sportsman Alliance (USSA) hosted its 18th annual Summer Fest at its headquarters in central Wisconsin. This two-day event aimed to provide children with illnesses or disabilities and their families an opportunity to experience the outdoors and connect with nature.
Families had access to a wide variety of free exhibits and activities, such as cranberry marsh tours, water sports, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, gold mining, trading post, and camping. Moreover, anglers were on hand to provide guidance, and families had the opportunity to engage in target practicing and complete a hunter safety course.
The USSA Summer Fest is an extraordinary event that holds profound meaning for many. It is not just about the activities but also about the connections between families that uplift their spirits and create new friendships.
Long after the event was concluded and the tents and exhibits had been dismantled, there was a lingering sense of something profound. Looking at the numerous footprints imprinted in the sand trails through the property and reflecting on the peaceful feeling we all enjoyed, it is impossible not to ponder all that occurred. The event provided a vision of how life should be, where anyone’s limitations can be overcome.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Saddle Mound Cranberry Marsh, Genoa Nation Fish Hatchery, Whitetails of Wisconsin, National Wildlife Turkey Federation, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, City Point Fire Department, Fine Arts by Matt Philleo, BRCC, Ocean Spray Wisconsin, and all our generous donors and sponsors for their invaluable support. We greatly appreciate their contributions.
We want to extend our gratitude to the Summer Fest volunteer staff for their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts that made this incredible event possible.
Enjoy the beautiful photos that capture the essence of this fantastic event. God bless!
