My name is Kim Moslander. I live in Granite City, Illinois with my five children. We became involved with USSA when a nurse from Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri asked my son if he would be interested in going fishing the day before he had open heart surgery in June of 2008. Since then, my son has participated in several USSA events and became a youth outdoor leader. That first fishing trip and his plans to go to the Summerfest event helped him get through a really rough ordeal and gave us something to look forward to during his recovery.
I feel that it is now my turn to help other families enjoy USSA events and help out in any way possible. I plan on staying involved for the rest of my life and I am encouraging my children to do the same.
