  3. 12-year-old sweetheart bags her trophy bear!

As a clear shot presented itself, Destanie squeezed the trigger of .22-250 Remington rifle, and the black bear went down in a moment of indescribable excitement.

Trevor said, “The best part of the hunt was watching Destanie’s excitement when she shot, and the bear fell out of the tree. Also, I was very impressed with the way a bear dog can cold trail a very old scent and figure out the direction the bear went.”

Thanks to Kathleen Hauser for donating her bear license and Trevor Puls and the Wolf River Hound Hunters for giving this young lady an unforgettable hunt. Congratulations to Destanie on getting her bear and the awesome memories shared with all involved. God bless!
