“This weekend showed not only Shelby but also us as her parents the value of gratefulness, joy, and how there are such wonderful people in the world who care and understand the challenges of kids and families with struggle daily with all types of disabilities.”

“All the staff were so amazing even the angler who brought his grandsons was such a wonderful boat captain. My daughter and his grandkids talked for hours on and off the boat. But to see Shelby’s excitement arriving on camp and being able to get on a boat was humbling.”

“Shelby and my grandboys were laughing and singing together on the boat and having a really good time out there on the water, and that was a rewarding part of the fishing trip.”

Many thanks to Eddy Swofford and the Heart of the Valley YMCA and Camp Cha-La-Kee, and USSA sponsors and volunteers for their role in making Shelby and her family’s fishing trip all the more special. God bless!
