  3. Purple Heart Recipient downs bull elk in New Mexico!

Ty and his friend David served in the army and hunted together since middle school. When Ty learned and shared the good news that someone had donated him an elk license, they were both ecstatic. For ten years, they shared a dream of teaming up to harvesting a nice bull elk.

Ty said, “Thank you so much! It was an amazing hunt in a beautiful part of the state. We hunted all day non stop Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and finally yesterday at 10:00 a.m., we had our shot. You were right; my dad was with me out there. I was thinking about him and a hunt we were on together a few years ago, and moments later, we got into this bull.”

The license donor, Kelly Nunez, said, “I was excited to draw, but when I couldn’t go on the hunt, I was happy something positive resulted, and Ty got his bull elk!”

Many thanks to Kelly and the NMDGF for helping two American hero’s dream come true. Congratulations to Ty and David, and thank you for your service! God bless!
